Vero's work explores the connection between past experiences and ingenious forms of expression. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of sources, including Marie Curie, Salvador Dali, Dr. Carl Segan, and Andy Warhol, She blends art and Experimentation to create symbolic pieces that transcend traditional artistic mediums.

Her work reflects a tension between military traditionalism and romantic dramatization, while constantly striving to capture the ever-evolving nature of reality.

I’m Vero.

I bring a unique perspective to art. My background, including my service in the United States Navy as a geologist, engineer, and gunner, has shaped my experiences and influenced my approach to Process. After moving to New York City, I have been able to flourish creatively and apply my diverse skill set to my career in mediums such as paintings, sculpture, film and documentary. My unique background and experiences are a valuable asset to my work, setting me apart from others in the field.

I have found a unique balance between my technical background in science, engineering, mathematics, and technology and my passion for artistic expression. By merging these two areas, I have opened up a wealth of creative possibilities and a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of art and physics. With my personal production brand, By Vero, LLC, and my partnership with filmmaker and creative director, Violet Guerrero Ponce, I am able to bring your vision to life in a collaborative setting. Documentary Film

Perspectives,”

Documentary Series and
full length Film

A 7-episode documentary series about the lives, ideas, and perspectives of New Yorkers during the COVID 19 Lockdown from March 2020 through to the end of the summer of 2020. Each episode is roughly 7 minutes long, revolving around one interviewee in dialogue with me. They are seen on camera discussing the way they each are making sense of how the world is turning over right before their eyes. But "Perspectives" is less about COVID statistics and more about the human experience. I often say that when the pandemic hit New York, the world too quickly put the state in a "body bag." We were still alive, just locked in. The streets were no longer bustling, but our minds were still imagining and yearning to speak. I didn't know it then, but I was able to create a platform on which people could speak, be heard, and be seen alive. This documentary represents a variety of New Yorkers from both the city and upstate, women and men, essential workers and entrepreneurs, fathers, brothers, and sisters. Still, most importantly, it reminds us that there is a lot of hope.

Reel Documentary Series

My Reel Documentary is a short-form documentary series, launching only on platforms that host “reel” type content. All documentaries are filmed and edited in vertical format, a challenging format to film in, yet I have found this series to be a creative expression for me. I hope to introduce much more docureels of the interesting interaction I continue to come across.

NYFA CAC Award for Documentary Film

In 2021, Vero accepted an award for her solo documentary project, “Perspectives.” and held a public screening, on October 30th.

She delivered Her full-length Screening in New York City. The screening was free to the public, as it is a part of her code of ethics that Art is for the people.

“I am overwhelmed with the amount of support I’ve received from this project, and I am thankful for the new career I have so passionately fallen into. Thank you NYFA, CAC!”
